Banks to create center for processing complaints against collection agencies

KYIV, UKRAINE - The Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) and the Independent Association of Ukrainian Collection Agencies (IAUCA) intend to create a center for processing complaints against debt collection agencies, according to the Web site of the AUB.

"The AUB and the IAUCA will sign a memorandum on cooperation on December 24... The memorandum, in particular, foresees realization of the projects "Hotline" and "Center for processing of complaints against collection agencies," according to the statement.

The IAUCA was founded in 2009. The major goal of the association's activity is assistance in formation and full-range development of the collection market in Ukraine. The association consists of X-Point, Financial Agency on Collection of Payments, Ukr-finance, Business Safety, National Debt Collection Agency ZENIT, Avesta-Ukraine, Creditekspress, Delta M, Ultimo, CredEx, and Finfort Collection.

The AUB was founded in 1990 and currently unites over 120 credit and financials establishments of the country.
