K2 Intelligence Geneva Office opens Print E-mail
Wednesday, 05 August 2015

Geneva, August 5, 2015 – K2 Intelligence, an industry leading investigative, compliance and cyber defense services firm, announced today the opening of a new office in Geneva, Switzerland. This move expands the firm’s growing global network that includes headquarters in New York and offices in London, Madrid and Tel Aviv.

K2 Intelligence was founded in 2009 by Jeremy M. Kroll and Jules B. Kroll, who is considered to be the originator of the modern corporate investigations industry. K2 Intelligence not only helps clients address problems and complex situations, but helps clients manage risk – whether that risk be investment, financial, regulatory, acquisition, new market entry, cyber, or reputational in nature – gathering intelligence to enhance critical decisions.

The Geneva office will be managed by Charles Carr, K2 Intelligence Executive Managing Director and Regional Head EMEA, and will be staffed by Frederic Maendly and Stephanie Hafner, who will work closely with the firm’s team in London and the global network. The office will provide both local and global support for its clients including law firms, banks, NGOs, and multinational corporations.

“Technology has created an environment where cyber threats and financial crimes know no geographic limits. We are helping clients protect and advance their businesses in a borderless environment with complex regulatory and compliance challenges,” said Jeremy Kroll, President, CEO and Co-Founder of K2 Intelligence.

“The Geneva office opening is an important step in our firm’s expansion and will allow us to better serve clients with a wide range of investigative and intelligence services throughout EMEA and around the world.“

“Geneva is an important hub for international economic activity. Our physical presence will allow us to be more immediately available to our Swiss clients, many of whom have been calling upon our capabilities in emerging markets, particularly Africa, and will enhance our service offering to clients throughout Europe and Africa who are already engaged in extensive business with Swiss companies,” said Mr. Carr.

“The concentration of lawyers, multinational corporations, organizations, trading companies and banks offer many opportunities for our business.”

With an unmatched legacy in complex investigations, K2 Intelligence combines deep subject matter and geographic expertise with cutting edge technology to solve client problems. K2 Intelligence’s London Africa Practice has been operating in Sub-Saharan Africa since 1997 and is known for providing well-resourced intelligence, local knowledge and expert analysis as they play a key role in their clients’ strategic decision-making.

Their clients include governments and multi-lateral institutions as well as private sector natural resource companies, hedge funds, private equity, global law firms and corporates looking to expand into African markets.

Earlier this year, American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a leading international insurance organization and the market leader in the underwriting of cyber insurance, endorsed the work of K2 Intelligence by acquiring a minority stake in the firm.
